Guide to SeaWorld San Diego
SeaWorld San Diego is the original SeaWorld location, which opened on March 21, 1964. It is located in northwest San Diego in Mission Bay, also home to the historic oceanfront amusement park Belmont Park.
SeaWorld began when four UCLA graduates had an idea to open an underwater restaurant. However, the idea was impossible, so the founders built a 22-acre marine zoological park.
