About

Park Rovers was launched in 2019 with a love for all theme parks, from Walt Disney World to Knoebels. We want to bring more attention to regional theme parks and attractions while keeping an eye on the most popular destinations.

We love exploring themed attractions, theme parks, historic amusement parks, roadside attractions, and more. You can follow us on Facebook, Instagram, Threads, Twitter, YouTube, and Pinterest.

I'm a user experience designer from Raleigh, North Carolina. As a kid growing up in Massachusetts, my family didn’t go to Walt Disney World or any Universal. My fondest memories are of small parks like Clark's Trading Post and Storyland in New Hampshire. I’ve since visited many major theme parks, but I still love the smaller regional parks.

As I visit more theme parks as an adult, I've become fascinated with the art form, industry, and history. I started this site to share this passion with others.

Home Parks:

  • Busch Gardens Williamsburg

  • Carowinds

  • Kings Dominion

Roller Coaster Count as of December 2024: 361 (strict)

I’m a middle school administrator and father of four living just outside Baltimore, MD. My first visit to Cedar Point in 1994 turned me on to this crazy hobby, and visits in my teens to Universal Orlando and Cedar Point converted me into a coaster junkie. As I’ve gotten older (but not always wiser), my travels have taken me across the eastern portion of the United States, visiting most major theme parks from Pennsylvania to Florida.

While I’m more of a thrill-seeker than the rest of my family, I have come to enjoy EVERYTHING theme parks offer. I’m excited to offer a unique perspective on the amusement and theme park industry.

Home Parks:

  • Hersheypark

  • Kings Dominion

  • Busch Gardens Williamsburg

  • Six Flags America

I’m a thrill-seeker originally from Cumming, Georgia. While my childhood was filled with simpler pleasures such as hiking, mountain biking, and camping, my curiosity knew no bounds. Fast forward to today, and I’m now a passionate traveler and theme park enthusiast.

Growing up, my family’s adventures didn’t include the iconic Disney World or Universal Studios visits. Instead, we made yearly routine visits to Cedar Point and the occasional visits to other Cedar Fair parks, such as Kings Island and Kings Dominion. These early experiences sparked my love for amusement parks, an affection that has only grown over the years.

As an adult, I’ve had the opportunity to explore a multitude of theme parks, both big and small, with my favorite being Phantasialand in Brühl, Germany. With each visit, I’ve delved deeper into the artistry, industry, and history behind these fascinating attractions. I now reside in the Central Florida area, where I am able to be in the heart of the industry!

Favorite Home Parks:

  • EPCOT

  • Universal’s Islands of Adventure

  • Gatorland

Growing up in Pittsburgh, my love for theme parks started early with frequent trips to Kennywood. However, it wasn’t until a few years ago that I realized there was such a connected and passionate community that shared the same enthusiasm that I did. Since then, I’ve taken a deep dive into super fandom and tried to expand my visits and knowledge on the subject as much as possible.

My wife and I are now located just outside of DC and take advantage of the many world-class theme park opportunities the area grants us. I can’t wait to keep exploring the world and share that journey with Park Rovers.
