Arctic Rescue Coaster Opening at SeaWorld San Diego in 2023

SeaWorld San Diego has announced its 6th coaster: Arctic Rescue.

The Intamin Family Launch Coaster will open in spring 2023 in the park’s Wild Arctic area. The ride’s backstory is that park guests must board snowmobiles to help save animals in the Arctic. At the end of the ride, guests will walk through the Wild Arctic exhibit, which features belugas, walruses, and a ring seal.

The coaster will be longer and faster than Busch Gardens Williamsburg’s DarKoaster, with 2800ft of track and a top speed of 40mph. DarKoaster has 2400ft of track, with a top speed of 36mph. Like DarKoaster, the minimum rider height for Arctic Rescue is 48” (4’).
