Guide to Tokyo Disney Resort
Tokyo Disney was the first Disney park located outside of the United States. It opened on April 15, 1983.
Tokyo DisneySea opened on September 4, 2001, and is regarded as the best Disney park and one of the most creative theme parks in the world. It is owned and operated by The Oriental Land Co., Ltd. (a subsidiary of the OLC Group), which licenses all the theming from Disney.

Travel Tips
Narita International Airport is approximately 45 minutes from Tokyo Disney Resort.
One popular service to get to Disney from the airport is the Airport Limousine Bus, which is cheaper than a taxi (which could be about $200 USD) but more expensive than public transportation.

Tokyo Disneyland
The Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast is a trackless dark ride that opened in 2020. It features some of Disney’s latest and greatest audio-animatronics.
The Enchanted Tiki Room: Stitch Presents Aloha E Komo Mai! is a unique version of the classic tiki room attraction that debuted at Disneyland in 1963.
Monsters, Inc. Ride & Go Seek is a shooting dark ride unique to Tokyo.
Pooh's Hunny Hunt is a popular and unique trackless dark ride based on the 1977 Disney animated film The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.
The only remaining Splash Mountain log flume attraction operates in Critter Country.
Tokyo Disneyland Electrical Parade: DreamLights is Tokyo’s version of the Main Street Electrical Parade that debuted at Disneyland in 1972.
The Western River Railroad is a narrow gauge railway at Tokyo Disneyland. Unlike other trains at Disney parks, this one does not circle the entire park. It passes through Adventureland, Westernland, and Critter Country.

20,000 Leagues Under the Sea is a 5-minute dark ride based on Jules Verne's 1870 novel “Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea” and Disney's 1954 film 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.
Fortress Explorations is a walkthrough attraction themed as a fortress for the Society of Explorers and Adventurers (S.E.A.). Three restaurants are located inside the attraction.
Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Crystal Skull is a variation of the Indiana Jones Adventure attraction from Disneyland in Anaheim.
The Journey to the Center of the Earth dark ride uses the same ride slot car system used for Test Track at EPCOT and Radiator Springs Racers at Disney California Adventure. It is loosely based on Jules Verne's 1864 novel of the same name.
Sindbad's Storybook Voyage is a musical boat ride that features the song "Compass of Your Heart," composed by Alan Menken (composer of songs for The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, etc.)
The Tower of Terror has a unique storyline in Tokyo involving Harrison Hightower III, a member of the Society of Explorers and Adventurers (S.E.A.).
