Penguin Trek Opening July 7, 2024 at SeaWorld Orlando
SeaWorld Orlando has announced that their new family launch coaster, Penguin Trek, will open on July 7, 2024. The snowmobile-styled ride is themed to a journey through Antarctica, which ends in the park’s real penguin habitat.
The coaster has a minimum rider height of 42”, a maximum rider height 'of 77”, and reaches up to 43mph.
Penguin Trek was first announced in September 2023 with a projected spring 2024 opening date. The coaster is replacing Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin attraction, which opened on May 24, 2013, and closed on March 16, 2020, with the COVID-19 pandemic.
