Kings Dominion Announces Food and Wine Festival in August 2024

Kings Dominion has added a Food and Wine Festival to its summer 2024 lineup. The festival will occur in the Old Virginia section of the park on weekends in August starting at 2:00 PM (August 23rd excluded). Park guests can experience unique wine tastings and food pairings. Accompanying the festival will be live local bands, roaming musicians, a barbershop quartet, lawn games, and a giant paint-by-number mural.

“The Food and Wine Festival is another example of how we continue to innovate and provide a unique, world-class amusement park experience for our guests,” said Bridgette Bywater, Vice President and General Manager of Kings Dominion. “Guests will have an exclusive opportunity to enjoy some of the tasty local wines, paired with some of the most delicious and unique food around, in a setting like no other.”

The wine lineup will feature popular local wineries and Virginia’s top wine producers, including Prince Michel, Chateau Morrisette, Barboursville, Stinson Vineyards, Williamsburg Winery, and Rockbridge. The food items will include a charcuterie board with lavender honey, a flight of three spreads and flatbreads with whipped herb goat cheese, a fondu dipping option, and a sweets plate with chocolate cherries, figs, and wrapped dates.

In addition to the Food and Wine Festival, Kings Dominion’s summer events include Star-Spangled Nights (July 4-6, 2024) and Grand Carnivale (July 13-28 on select nights). Visit Kings Dominion’s website to see all of their upcoming events.
