Hyperia Coaster Opening at Thorpe Park in 2024

Thorpe Park has announced they’re opening Hyperia in 2024, which will be the UK’s tallest and fastest coaster. The hypercoaster will be 236 feet tall and reach a max speed of over 80 mph.

Hyperia will be Thorpe Park’s eighth coaster and the first new coaster since The Swarm opened in 2012. The new coaster’s tagline is “once you’ve experienced Hyperia you’ll never fear again.”

Blackpool Pleasure Beach’s Big One, an Arrow Dynamics Hyper Coaster opened in 1994, is currently the UK’s tallest coaster at 213 feet. Thorpe Park’s Stealth, an Intamin Accelerator Coaster, is the UK’s fastest coaster at a max speed of 80 mph.

According to Hyperia’s RCDB listing, the coaster is manufactured by Germany’s Mack Rides.
