Cedar Fair Announcements for 2023

Multiple parks across the Cedar Fair chain are today announcing their 2023 expansion plans. We will keep a running tally here of all the new-for-2023 additions. (Updated October 19, 2022)

Adventure Port at Kings Island

Kings Island brought a late announcement to the field with Adventure Port, a new themed area located between Coney Mall and the Action Zone. The Cincinnati-based theme park will follow their 50th Anniversary season by adding two new rides; Sol Spin, a Zamperla Endeavour and a spinning barrels ride Cargo Loco. Adventure Express, the park’s mine train roller coaster, will also receive an updated queue experience to tie in with the new area. The park’s BierGarten will transform into The Mercado, an indoor market and dining experience with updated food, drink, and merchandise.

Zambezi Zinger - Worlds of Fun

Worlds of Fun in Missouri is reflecting on their past while looking towards the future with Zambezi Zinger. This roller coaster will be the first constructed entirely of Titan Track, GCI’s new steel-based track option. Zambezi Zinger will also have a spiral lift structure, a nod to the original roller coaster of the same name. Brand-new Infinity Flyer trains will traverse the 2,428 feet of Titan Track in the African Serengeti section of Worlds of Fun.

Boardwalk Area at Cedar Point

The flagship Cedar Fair park is finally expanding their Lake Erie beach boardwalk into the park. A new Grand Pavilion will bring new food and beverage options to the park with spectacular lakeside views. A new spinning wild mouse roller coaster (Cedar Point’s 18th) and relocated flat rides will complete the new area.

Aeronautica Landing at Carowinds

A reimagined area is coming to the Crown Jewel of the Carolinas. Aeronautica Landing will feature an aviation themed space with 5 rides (3 new) along with multiple new eateries and a craft beer patio.

Snoopy’s Racing Railway and Tundra Twister at Canada’s Wonderland

Canada’s Wonderland adds to their impressive flat ride collection with Tundra Twister, a never-before-seen hybrid of a top spin and spinning pendulum. Also debuting in 2023 is Snoopy’s Racing Railway, a family launch coaster driven by everyone’s favorite beagle. Guests will launch up to 50 km/h and avoid traps along the course.

Fiesta Village with MonteZOOMa: The Forbidden Fortress at Knott’s Berry Farm

A reimagined Montezooma’s Revenge is the highlight of Fiesta Village, a new themed area for 2023 at Knott’s Berry Farm. This updated classic will have a new ride experience and riders may be launched forwards or backwards to start their journey. A new restaurant and cantina along with elaborate street-mosphere complete the new area.
