Disneyland's New Nighttime Shows and Runaway Railway Opening January 27, 2023
To kick off the Disney 100 Years of Wonder celebration, Disneyland will launch many updates recently discussed at D23 Expo 2022. The global, cross-company event will celebrate 100 years of The Walt Disney Company (founded on October 16, 1923).
Here’s what you can expect starting on January 27, 2023, at Disneyland Resort:
New platinum-infused décor throughout Disneyland Resort
New banners, bunting, design details, and water fountains on Sleeping Beauty Castle
New looks for Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and friends
Special food and beverage, merchandise, and more
World of Color – One at Disney California Adventure Park; A new nighttime spectacular telling a story of how “a single action, like a drop of water, creates a ripple that can grow into a wave of change.”
Wondrous Journeys at Disneyland; A new nighttime spectacular that “will feature nods to every Walt Disney Animation Studios film to date.”
Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway will be open. The rest of Mickey’s Toontown will still be opening in spring 2023.
The Magic Happens parade will return to Disneyland.
Theme park reservations are currently paused for dates beyond January 8, 2023, but “will resume for guests in the coming weeks.”
