Star Wars Hotel to Open in 2022 at Walt Disney World

As part of the Star Wars Day announcements, Disney has released new details about the Star Wars Hotel, which is called Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser.

The highlight of the announcement was a teaser trailer that features the new “real” lightsaber that guests can see activate before their eyes:

We also now have a better idea of what the two-night adventure entails:

• When arriving at the terminal, guests enter a “Launch Pod” which takes them to the Halcyon starcruiser

• The Crown of Corellia Dining Room is where guests will enjoy breakfast and lunch

• At dinner, the Dining Room transforms each evening into a “supper club” with a “galactic superstar” singer and a “lavish multi-course” dinner

• There will be an “eclectic group of characters” aboard the ship, including the superstar, the “strong and charismatic captain,” and a “plucky ship’s mechanic”

• Lightsaber training will be one of the experiences on the ship

One other exciting announcement: there’s a model of the Halcyon ship inside Walt Disney Presents at Disney’s Hollywood Studios!
