Avengers Campus Will Open July 18 at Disney California Adventure

Walt Disney Imagineering has announced that phase 1 of Avengers Campus will open July 18, 2020, at Disney California Adventure at the Disneyland Resort.

Here’s what will be in Avengers Campus when it opens:

• WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure is described as a high-tech family-friendly attraction. Riders will “experience what it’s like to have super powers and sling webs alongside Spider-Man.” Tom Holland is reprising his role as Spider-Man for the attraction.

• The WEB Suppliers store will be the Spider-Man gift shop. Among other things, you’ll be able to purchase a remote-controlled Spider-Bot that’s featured on the attraction.

• The Campus Supply Pod will sell Avengers merchandise.

• Pym Test Kitchen will be an Ant-Man and The Wasp-themed restaurant with food items of different sizes, including Impossible™ plant-based large and micro meatballs with pasta. Nearby, the Pym Tasting Lab will feature craft beers and cocktails.

• The Shawarma Palace will be a food cart where you can buy one of the favorite foods of The Avengers… shwarma!

• Character appearances and meet-and-greets with Iron Man, Captain Marvel, Black Widow, Doctor Strange, the Guardians of the Galaxy, Black Panther, the Dora Milaje, Thor, Loki, and Ant-Man and The Wasp.

• Spider-Man (i.e., a stunt robot dressed as Spider-Man) will swing high above Avengers Campus.

• The existing attraction, Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT!, will become part of Avengers Campus.

A new Avengers attraction was announced last year at D23 Expo as part of Phase 2 of Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure. It should open in 2022.
