Universal Studios Singapore is part of Resorts World Sentosa, which features non-Universal affiliated attractions, including a water park and an aquarium. The grand opening was May 28, 2011.

This park features many unique attractions and seems like a preview of Universal's future. The Genting Group owns the theme park and licenses theming from Universal.

Travel Tips

  • After arriving at Singapore Changi Airport, Resorts World Sentosa is a 20-minute car ride away on the East Coast Parkway (ECP).

  • Two other theme parks are nearby: LEGOLAND Malaysia and Danga Bay Theme Park.

Must-Do Attractions

  • Battlestar Galactica: HUMAN and Battlestar Galactica: CYLON are steel dueling coasters, similar to the now-defunct Dragon Challenge at Universal Islands of Adventure.

  • Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure is a raft ride version of Jurassic Park: The Ride (operating at Universal Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios Japan).

  • Lights! Camera! Action! Hosted by Steven Spielberg is a special effects show unique to Universal Singapore and Beijing.

  • Revenge of the Mummy: The Ride is an enclosed rollercoaster nearly identical to the attraction of the same name at Universal Studios Florida. The Singapore version has some differences and tweaks since it was built six years after the original version.

  • Sesame Street Spaghetti Space Chase is a themed dark ride unique to Singapore.

  • Shrek 4-D Adventure, now defunct in the United States parks, still operates in Singapore and Japan.

  • Treasure Hunters is a themed antique car ride in the Ancient Egypt area (with Revenge of the Mummy). The attraction features many animatronic animals.
