Space Ranger Spin at Magic Kingdom Closing in August for Updates
Disney has announced that Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin at Magic Kingdom will close in August 2025 for a major refurbishment. The attraction will reopen in 2026.
The updates will include:
A new show scene with a friendly robot called “Buddy” that will train guests (aka Space Rangers) to use their blaster
Enhanced ride vehicles with video monitors that have live scoring updates and other features
New blasters that allow for better aim and are easier for younger riders to handle. The blasters also have new lighting, sound, and vibration effects. The new always-on laser will have two different colors per ride vehicle.
Upgraded static Z targets that react and light up when hit.
