Carowinds Announces Two New Attractions and Camp Snoopy Updates for 2025
Carowinds has announced the largest investment in family attractions in the park’s history. Two new attractions will debut in 2025 in the Camp Snoopy area. A family-friendly steel launch coaster called Snoopy’s Racing Railway will be the park’s 15th roller coaster and Camp Snoopy’s third roller coaster. A boat ride called Charlie Brown’s River Raft Blast will be a 4-minute, 39-second interactive experience featuring water blasters on the boats and on land.
"We're excited to introduce the latest adventures in Camp Snoopy in 2025," Manny Gonzalez, vice president and general manager for Carowinds, said. "Our re-imagined Camp Snoopy will allow families to ride and play together, immersing them in a summer camp experience with the Peanuts gang. From the thrilling twists of Snoopy's Racing Railway to the splashes at Charlie Brown's River Raft Blast, our focus is on family fun. These new features will transform Camp Snoopy into more than just a place to play and cool off; it will become a destination for creating family memories."
Construction for both new attractions is already underway! Carowinds has shared a gallery of images of the rides under construction. Snoopy’s Racing Railway is a family launch coaster manufactured by ART Engineering. It will be similar to the coaster of the same name that opened at Canada’s Wonderland in 2023. Charlie Brown’s River Raft Blast is a Mack Rides interactive boat ride with seven boats—two of which are wheelchair accessible. The water blasters can spray as far as 33 feet.
In addition to the new rides, the land will be enhanced with two new additions. Brand new splash play zones will be added to the kids' play area with shade and water features. The Camp Store will also be updated to include an interactive camp-themed meet-and-greet area with rustic log benches and a cozy fire pit.
