Attractions and Entertainment

The Isle of Berk will have four new attractions, one live show, and meet-and-greet experiences:

  • Hiccup’s Wing Gliders is a new family coaster that reaches 45mph. The backstory is that Hiccup invented a flying machine to simulate dragon flight and launch riders into the sky.

  • The Untrainable Dragon show is inspired by the “Untrainable” show at Universal Studios Beijing Resort. The “dragon-filled live spectacular takes guests on an unforgettable journey with beloved characters Hiccup, Toothless, Gobber, and Astrid as they work together to solve the mystery of The Untrainable Dragon.”

  • Fyre Drill is a water ride where Vikings (i.e., park guests) compete by aiming water cannons at flame-like targets. The backstory is that you’re training to put out fires, a crucial skill when living with dragons.

  • Dragon Racer’s Rally is a swinging pendulum ride that reaches up to 67 feet in the air. The backstory is that Vikings can use this for training before riding an actual dragon. Vikings can control how “wild” or “mild” their ride is.

  • Viking Training Camp is a play area with a Viking agility course, a Toothless-themed teeter-totter, a baby Gronckle dragon climber, and more.

  • There will be a dedicated meet-and-greet with Hiccup and Toothless at the Haddock Paddock. Other Vikings and dragons will also be wandering around the Isle of Berk.

Dining and Shopping

There will be three dining locations and several shopping locations at the Isle of Berk:

  • Mead Hall is the village’s main gathering hall. The menu will have a variety of meats, fish, sandwiches, and more, along with a collection of meads and ciders.

  • Spit Fyre Grill is a quick-service dining located by the Fyre Drill location. It will feature “delicious, hearty meals flame-seared by a helpful (unseen) dragon fry cook.”

  • Hooligan’s Grog & Gruel is a racing-themed food stand in the Viking Training Camp that will offer quick bites.

  • Themed shops will include Viking Traders, How to Treat Your Dragon, Hiccup’s Work Shop, and Toothless’ Treasures.
