Disney Cruise Lines Announces Details for Next Ship – the Disney Destiny

Disney has announced details for their eighth ship and the third and last ship in the Wish class of ships, which includes the Disney Wish and the Disney Treasure. The Disney Destiny will set sail in 2025 and feature a heroes and villains theme.

As part of the announcement, Disney released a comic-style video that features many Disney heroes and villains. According to a post on the Disney Parks Blog, the ship’s theme will draw “on the legacies of beloved Disney stories, characters, and theme park attractions.” The post mentions “The Lion King,” “Hercules,” and “One Hundred and One Dalmatians.”

Minnie Mouse is featured on the ship’s keel coin and on the bow of the ship.

The keel laying ceremony was held on March 20, 2024, at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany.
