'Walt the Dreamer' Statue and World Celebration Gardens Open Dec. 5 at EPCOT

December 5th, 2023, will be a busy day at EPCOT at Walt Disney World!

Disney Parks has shared that World Celebration Gardens will debut, including Dreamers Point with the “Walt the Dreamer” statue. The debut lines up with Walt Disney’s birthday, which was December 5, 1901.

This new statue, entitled “Walt the Dreamer,” represents Walt later in his life when he was dreaming up the overall Florida Project and the Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow. He sits with a sense of fulfillment, enjoying the beauty of his realized dream: a park that represents pure optimism and truly celebrates the magic of possibility.

World Celebration Gardens will be a place for park guests to “relax, unwind, and connect – to EPCOT, to nature and to each other.”

Previously, at Destination D23 on September 9, 2023, Josh D’Amaro, Chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products, revealed that EPCOT’s new nighttime spectacular, Luminous The Symphony of Us, will debut on December 5th.

As of publication, park reservations are still available for EPCOT on December 5th.
