How Many Theme Parks Have a Liberty Bell Replica?
The most visited Liberty Bell in the world is located at Walt Disney World. In 2020, Liberty Bell enthusiast Tom Campbell wrote a comprehensive article about the backstory of the Magic Kingdom Liberty Bell. You may also have seen articles from Jim Korkis on yourfirstvisit.net and in the Summer 2022 Disney Files Magazine – these articles borrow from Tom’s work.
After reading about the Magic Kingdom Liberty Bell, I wondered: how many theme parks have a replica of the Liberty Bell? Fortunately, Tom Campbell has a table of Liberty Bell replica locations on his website!
With help from Tom's site, I created a table of all the current replica Liberty Bell locations in theme parks. I also added some photos and some honorable mentions.
Replica Liberty Bells in Theme Parks
There are four known replica Liberty Bells in theme parks:
Castle Park (Riverside, California) – Custom-built by Bud Hurlbut, dated 1985
Kings Dominion (Doswell, Virginia)
Knott’s Berry Farm (Buena Park, California) – Custom-built by Bud Hurlbut in 1966
Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World (Lake Buena Vista, Florida) – Cast by Paccard in 1989
Libertyland (Memphis, Tennesee), which operated from July 4, 1976, to October 29, 2005, also had a Liberty Bell. Whitechapel Bell Foundry cast the park’s Liberty Bell, and, as of 2024, it’s located at the entrance to Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium in Memphis, home of the Liberty Bowl college football game.
