Six Flags Announces New Rides for 2020

Six Flags announced their new rides for 2020 on Thursday morning. Easily the most exciting announcement is the Jersey Devil, a Rocky Mountain Construction coaster for Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, New Jersey. The coaster will be the tallest, fastest and longest single-rail in the world.

Six Flags also announced three more coasters, which includes one relocated one:

  • AQUAMAN Power Wave at Six Flags Over Texas (Arlington) is a “Power Splash” model from MACK Rides. Riders are launched back and forth between two 148 feet track towers.

  • Vipère at La Ronde (Montreal) is a relocated Intamin ZacSpin coaster. It was known as “Green Lantern: First Flight” at Six Flags Magic Mountain.

  • Sidewinder Safari at Six Flags Discover Kingdom is a spinning wild mouse “Twister Coaster” model from Zamperl. The queue promises live snakes and other reptile species.

Here are the other new additions:

  • Six Flags Over Georgia (Atlanta) will introduce two new flat rides: a Zamerpla Endeavour whirling wheel called Catwoman Whip and a scrambler called Poison Ivy: Toxic Twister.

  • Six Flags Great America (Chicago) will add the Tsunami Surge water coaster.

  • The Great Escape (Lake George, NY) will add a giant propeller arm swing ride called Outlaw.

  • Six Flags Mexico (Mexico City) will add Crazanity, the world’s tallest pendulum ride.

  • Six Flags New England (Western MA) will add SUPERGIRL: Sky Flyer, a Zamerpla Endeavour whirling wheel.

  • SIx Flags Fiesta Texas (San Antonio) will add a Zamperla Air Race flat ride called Dare Devil Dive.

  • Six Flags St. Louis will also add a Zamerpla Endeavour whirling wheel called Catwoman Whip.

  • Six Flags America (Baltimore) will add a giant pendulum ride called Harley Quinn Spinsanity.

  • Six Flags Darien Lake (Buffalo) will add a water slide called Wahoo Wave.

  • White Water Bay (Oklahoma City) will add the Wahoo Racer racing slide.

  • Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Arlington will add the Banzai Pipeline tower with three water slides.

  • Hurricane Harbor Phoenix will add a 42000 square foot water park expansion called Paradise Island. The expansion includes a 12,000 square foot activity pool.

  • Six Flags White Water Atlanta will add the Python Plunge raft slide.

  • Magic Waters (Rockford, IL) will add the Tidal Wave water slide.
