Sleeping Beauty Castle Reopens at Disneyland

It’s an exciting time at the Disneyland Park, as the scrim has been taken down at Sleeping Beauty Castle, and Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is set to open next week on May 31, 2019.

The Disney Parks Blog has more details about the castle’s redesign. One of the most fascinating updates is that they used an old painting technique called “atmospheric perspective” to visually heighten the castle. If you’ve been to a different Disney resort, then you know that Disneyland’s castle is very short.
