Sesame Place Philadelphia, in Langhorne, Pennsylvania, opened on July 13, 1980. It was developed in cooperation with the Sesame Workshop and is open seasonally from May through December.

Sesame Place was the first theme park in the world to be a certified autism center.

Travel Tips

  • Sesame Place is about 45 minutes from Clementon Park and 30 minutes from Six Flags Great Adventure.

  • The Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) is the closest major airport, about 35-45 minutes away. The Trenton-Mercer Airport (TTN) is 10 minutes away and has direct flights to many other airports.

Must-Do Attractions

  • Flyin' Fish is an aerial carousel ride, similar to Dumbo from the Disney parks.

  • Oscar's Wacky Taxi is a Gravity Group family coaster that opened in 2018.

  • Vapor Trail is a custom Vekoma junior family coaster themed to Super Grover.

  • The Sunny Day Carousel features Sesame Street-themed horses.
