Flying Fox Coaster Announced for Spring 2026 at Kentucky Kingdom

Kentucky Kingdom has announced that the Flying Fox roller coaster will open in spring 2026. The new $14 million suspended family coaster will be the park’s 6th roller coaster – the most coasters of any park in Kentucky.

Flying Fox Details

Flying Fox is a custom suspended family coaster manufactured by Vekoma.

Here are some of the ride’s features:

  • Track length: 1380 feet

  • Top speed: 37 MPH

  • Max height: 65 feet

  • Ride duration: 63 seconds

  • Below-ground tunnel finale

The ride is themed to the Kentucky farmland.

 Join the daring adventures of local legend and crop-dusting pilot, Jeb Fox, as Flying Fox sends riders soaring over a vibrant Kentucky farmland setting. The experience will begin at the red barn-inspired queue winding through hand-painted murals and playful audio featuring Jeb himself, the theming celebrates Kentucky’s agricultural heritage while adding a lighthearted twist aimed for families to enjoy. Get ready to soar through the skies, catching a bird's eye view of Louisville, just before plunging down through an underground tunnel, providing a unique and thrilling ride experience!

Flying Fox is the 2nd piece of a $25 million investment into Kentucky Kingdom by Herschend. Discovery Meadow, a family-friendly area, opened in 2025 at a cost of $11 million.
