Kings Dominion Opening Day 2025 and 50th Anniversary Season Details
Kings Dominion has announced that opening day 2025 will be March 29, 2025. The park will hold an exclusive season passholder preview night on March 28, 2025. The new-for-2025 steel launch wing coaster, Rapterra, will be open starting on the season passholder preview night! Guests with silver, gold, and prestige passes can attend the preview night.
“Kings Dominion is dedicated to creating unforgettable experiences for guests of all ages, and we are living up to that commitment this year with the launch of our world record-breaking rollercoaster Rapterra and the expanded offerings we have in store for our 50th anniversary,” said Bridgette Bywater, park vice president and general manager. “We’re delivering more entertainment, unique experiences and ways to make lasting memories all season long.”
Soak City water park will be open on Memorial Day weekend. Guests can visit the water park from May 24 to September 1.
2025 Event Series
Kings Dominion has announced its events lineup for the 50th-anniversary season, which includes a special summer event.
Spring Break Days
March 29 to April 6: The park will be open all week for guests enjoying a break from school.
Star Spangled Nights
July 4 and 5: A two-night 4th of July celebration featuring a fireworks display synchronized to patriotic music.
A Golden Summerbration
May 31 to August 3: Kings Dominion’s 50th-anniversary celebration with exclusive, limited-time experiences.
Two new live shows at the Kings Dominion Theater.
Updated music for the world-famous singing mushrooms.
New mobile street party and nighttime party along International Street.
Return of the Kings Dominion Clown Band.
Exclusive merchandise and unique food and beverage items.
Fall Events
September 19 to November 2 (weekends and select nights): Halloween Haunt returns with mazes, scare zones, live shows, and exclusive food and drinks.
September 20 to November 2 (weekends and select days): The family-friendly Tricks & Treats event returns with costume contests, seasonal treats, and special entertainment. Oktoberfest also returns with German food, craft beers, music, and performances
