Disney Villains Show Replacing Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy at Walt Disney World
A new Disney Villains show featuring Cruella de Vil, Caption Hook, Maleficent, and many more is opening at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in the summer of 2025. The new show will use the Sunset Showcase Theater, currently occupied by Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy.
The creative minds at Disney Live Entertainment will transform Sunset Showcase into the mysterious, reflective realm of the Magic Mirror. The show will feature appearances by dozens of the most infamous evildoers, with fiendish foes Cruella de Vil, Captain Hook and Maleficent each breaking through the glass to take the stage in live production numbers.
Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy will close on October 7, 2024.
The new show is in addition to the Villains Land that was announced at D23 The Ultimate Fan Event on August 10, 2024.
