DreamWorks Land Opening Summer 2024 at Universal Studios Florida – New Details Announced
Universal has announced new details about its new DreamWorks Land, opening in summer 2024. The new land will highlight Shrek, Trolls, Kung Fu Panda, and other experiences with more DreamWorks characters.
DreamWorks Land (Universal Orlando Resort)
As announced in July 2023, the new land replaces the former Woody Woodpecker's KidZone.
Shrek
Shrek’s Swamp Meet at DreamWorks Land (Universal Orlando Resort)
Shrek’s area inside DreamWorks Land will feature five experiences.
Shrek’s Swamp Meet: Where guests can interact with Shrek, Princess Fiona, and Donkey.
Shrek’s Swamp for Little Ogres: A play area with four fun slides, wet play areas, and a playground featuring Shrek’s outhouse.
Mama Luna Feline Fiesta: An interactive experience themed to Puss in Boots 2: The Last Wish. Guests enter Mama Luna’s retirement home for cats and play with Mama Luna’s cats on vivid interactive screens.
King Harold’s Swamp Symphony: A frog choir that guests can trigger by stomping on lily pads.
Swamp Snacks: A food kiosk with snacks inspired by Shrek, including Shrekzel, Far Far A Waffle, Frozen Ogre, and more.
Trolls
Trollercoaster at DreamWorks Land (Universal Orlando Resort)
This area in DreamWorks Land will be themed as a Trolls village, with a fountain in the center. There will be four different experiences.
Trolls Trollercoaster: The queue of this family-friendly rollercoaster will feature Trolls characters Poppy, Viva, Tiny Diamond, Satin and Chenille. The rollercoaster train is themed to a Caterbus that’s escaping evil spiders. This rollercoaster was previously themed as “Woody Woodpecker's Nuthouse Coaster.”
Poppy’s Playground: A shaded kids’ play area under a giant, 20-foot mushroom. There will be bouncing and climbing structures.
Trolls Treats: A snack kiosk themed to Poppy’s boombox from Trolls Band Together. Snacks will include Trolls ice cream treats inspired by Poppy and Branch, like the pink lemonade-flavored Poppy-licious Pink and huckleberry-flavored BroZone Berry.
High Five Hideaway: A retail location hosted by Cloud Guy from Trolls. This is where guests can find the latest DreamWorks merchandise, including apparel, plush, and accessories from Shrek, Trolls, Kung Fu Panda, Gabby’s Dollhouse, and more.
Kung Fu Panda
Po’s Kung Fu Training Camp at DreamWorks Land (Universal Orlando Resort)
The Kung Fu Panda will feature two experiences.
Po’s Kung Fu Training Camp: An all-new play area themed to the Panda Village in the Kung Fu Panda films. There will be wet and dry play areas with many fun, themed elements.. Guests can help pandas wash and dry their laundry with enormous water cannons, dump buckets, giant fans, and more. There will also be an interactive gong, mischievous, giggling baby pandas, and oversized merry-go-round noodle bowls from Mr. Ping’s Noodle Shop.
Po Live!: A digital, interactive meet and greet experience with Po from Kung Fu Panda. Po will teach guests Kung Fu moves while he cooks stir fry and babysits his little cousin, Ling Ling.
Additional Experiences
The land will also feature two more live character experiences with DreamWorks characters.
DreamWorks Imagination Celebration: A multisensory live entertainment show that combines hit pop songs, high-energy dancing, advanced technology, and more within the all-new DreamWorks Theater.
DreamWorks Character Zone: Meet, greet, and interact with more DreamWorks characters like Gabby from Gabby’s Dollhouse.
