Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit Closing Forever in 2025 at Universal Orlando
Universal Orlando Resort has announced that the Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit steel roller coaster will close forever in early September 2025. The closure was confirmed in a social media post on Friday, December 27, 2024. Before the post, publicly filed permits indicated the closure. Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit was manufactured by Maurer AG and opened on August 19, 2009, for $45 Million. The coaster is one of eight X-Car model coasters ever built by Maurer. It featured the ability for riders to select a song that would play during their ride from two speakers in the headrest of their seats. The coaster featured a vertical lift hill, a non-inverting loop, 3800 feet of track, and a max speed of 65 mph.
