Lightning Lane Premiere Pass: Disney’s Newest Version of Fast Pass

Disney has repeatedly revamped its ‘Fast Pass’ system for its United States parks from Fast Pass+ to Genie+. Walt Disney World and Disneyland are now introducing the Lightning Lane Premiere Pass, which will include one-time Lightning Lanes for every attraction.

Disneyland California

Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California, will launch the new Lightning Lane Premiere Pass on October 23, 2024. Pricing will start at $400 per day per person and will be available for purchase up to 2 days before your park visit. Beginning in 2025, the price will vary between $300 and $400 per day per person.

Using Premiere Pass, guests can experience every attraction at Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure, with access through the Lightning Lane queue at any point in the day. In addition to the perks of having Lightning Lane, guests will also receive a photo pass for their entire day, allowing them to enjoy all their memories on every attraction.

Disneyland will use a “first-come, first-served” system for the Premiere Pass in its California parks. The new Fast Pass system will have very limited availability upon its release.

Walt Disney World

Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, will also be adopting the new Lightning Lane Premiere Pass system; however, there will be some significant differences in how it is implemented compared to Disneyland in California. The resort will launch this system on October 30, 2024, with minimal availability as Disney World’s Lightning Lane Premiere Pass will only be available to guests staying at Deluxe and Deluxe Villa (Disney Vacation Club) resorts. Guests can book this pass up to 7 days in advance, and pricing points will vary depending on which park and peak season.

Upon launch, there will be no Park Hopper version of the pass, so guests can choose between the four parks which option would best suit them. Price points vary and will be priced per person per day:

  • Disney’s Animal Kingdom: $129-$199

  • EPCOT: $169-$249

  • Disney’s Hollywood Studios: $269-$349

  • Magic Kingdom: $329-$449

Guests can see Lightning Lane Premiere Pass prices on a calendar in the Disney World app up to 21 days in advance.
