Universal Parks and Resorts today announced a new family-focused park for the town of Frisco, TX. Located north of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, this new concept park will be smaller than other Universal parks around the globe. Focused on family-centric brands like Minions and Shrek, the new park will incorporate rides, shows, and attractions for all ages. It will maintain the high-quality Universal Parks and Attractions are known for. A 300-room hotel is also planned for future expansions of the 97-acre property.

No opening date was given for the new resort. Still, it is expected to open after Universal Orlando’s Epic Universe park, which is under construction now and is scheduled to open in the summer of 2025.
