Donkey Kong Expansion Announced for Universal Studios Japan

A Donkey Kong-themed area will be coming to Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Japan in 2024!

There weren’t too many details in the joint Nintendo and Universal press release, but here’s what we know:

  • “Lush jungle” theming to represent where Donkey Kong and his friends live

  • New roller coaster and interactive experiences

  • Themed merchandise and food

We don’t know if this new area will be coming to the United States or other Universal parks. But, it seems likely that it would be a part of Universal’s Epic Universe theme park in Orlando, which has been delayed but may open in 2025.
