Disneyland Announces Major Expansion Plans

Disneyland has unveiled a major expansion project called DisneylandForward. The plans include what appears to be a third gate; however, Disney has stated that it is more of a “theme park expansion.”

The DisneylandForward website details possibilities, including Zootopia, Toy Story Land, Tron, hotels, retail, dining, and entertainment. There’s even a map of the expansion area:

The project is very exciting, but it will take time to get approval.

We realize that in order to invest in a way that makes sense, not just for Disney but our entire community we need to seek out ways to create integrated experiences. In order to do that, we need updated development approvals from the city. The public review and approval process will take time. Starting today this process will allow us to take the first step forward.
