Walt Disney World Announces Holiday Events for 2020 (Nov 6-Dec 30)

Walt Disney World has announced their 2020 holiday plans including festive décor, themed merchandise, seasonal food & beverage offerings, entertainment, and pop-up appearances by Santa Claus.

Magic Kingdom

• Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is canceled

• Character calvacades will have a “holiday twist” including gingerbread men, elves, and reindeer

• Toy soldiers will return with the Main Street Philharmonic

• Cinderella Castle will feature special projection effects “with a rotating series of designs including a whimsical Christmas sweater and a regal overlay of red, green and gold ornamentation”

Epcot

• The Candlelight Processional at EPCOT is canceled

• EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays will return on November 27 (Taste of EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival will likely continue till sometime in November).

• The holiday promenades will go around the World Showcase

• The musical group JOYFUL! will perform holiday music at World ShowPlace Pavilion

• The Voices of Liberty will perform at the America Gardens Theatre

Animal Kingdom

• The flotillas on the waterways will be decorated for the holidays

Hollywood Studios

• Minnie Mouse, Santa Goofy, and friends will host a themed character dining experience at Hollywood & Vine

• Merry motorcades will go around the park

Disney Springs

• Disney Christmas trees will be spread throughout the shopping district

• Snow will fall in the evening

• Jock Lindsey’s Holiday Bar will return with a special festive menu

Resorts

• Gingerbread displays are canceled
